7 august 2012 - Blackpool, Lancashire (UK) – Pleasure Beach. Another of the new Flexity trams heading for the southern terminus at Starr Gate, where a brand new depot has been built. Like the big, double deck 'Balloon' trams used in the past, these new trams run with a driver and TWO conductors, one conductor working from each end of the tram to ensure all fares are collected.

7 august 2012 - Blackpool, Lancashire (UK) – Talbot Square. Blackpool trams were once covered in all kinds of advertising liveries and it hasn’t taken long for adverts to appear on some of the new Flexity trams. Here, #010 passes the North Pier with a service to Fleetwood Ferry. Note the new switches in the track – these have been installed ready for a planned extension (the first in Blackpool for many years) which will take trams along the streets to the main railway station, restoring an important link which once existed along a different route. Enthusiasts visiting Blackpool should not miss the Blackpool Tram Shop, just behind the tram at the pier entrance, which stocks EVERYTHING to do with trams worldwide.

7 august 2012 - Blackpool, Lancashire (UK) – Pleasure Beach. A new Flexity Outlook passes the Pleasure Beach casino with a service to Starr Gate. The purple and white livery is a major departure for Blackpool, which has traditionally painted its trams green and cream, so still looks a little strange – no doubt we will get used to it. All the older trams not needed for the heritage service have either gone to museums or are being scrapped.
