5 october 2008 - Arad, Romania – Piata Romana. Arad is the Mecca for fans of German trams, as they have taken second-hand trams from no less than fourteen different operators. It’s also a city that is quite easy to reach from western Europe, and still has a strong Hungarian flavour. This is a pretty little GT4 from Ulm, working circular route 8 to the eastern suburbs. Piata Romana is a major tramway hub, with lines arriving here from four directions.
