8 august 1985 - Blackpool - UK. 100 years of electric tramways was celebrated in Blackpool by operating several trams from museums in normal passenger service. Car 35 was a typical Edinburgh tram, four wheeled and fully enclosed, and came from the city transport museum. These trams were rather more modern than their old-fashioned appearance suggests. 35 stayed in Blackpool for many years, but has recently gone to Crich on permanent loan.
