Przez 25 lat udało się przebudować w ten sposób ok. 1/4 sieci, po czym okazało się, że bezbarierowy dostęp można osiągnąć niekoniecznie poprzez wysokie perony, ale także za sprawą tramwajów niskopodłogowych.
